One of my most wanted dreams would be to go to her concert. I don't think I'll ever have another favourite singer that I've loved so much. Listening to her has been a part of my life. I channel my emotion through her music. Just love her, just as she is.

Awwwww...How picturesque is this?

Hmmmmm, I am imagining myself being hugged by the warm sea water; freshened by the moist breeze when I sunbathe, kissed by the rays from the sun while sipping the cooling and sweet coconut juice...and my love, just lying next to me. What more could I ask for in this life?

GOB's Opening on December 1 2005

Here are some sneak previews of the upcoming blockbuster movie at the end of the year - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I simply can't wait and can't help screaming everytime I wacth the trailer and production pictures.
She's one of the new characters that I look forward to meet - The Beetle! Only the Potter fans know wot I am talking 'bout. Bitchy and digging as hard as ever - she'll make you hate her with all the biased news that her quill can come up with.

Look at Hermione at the Yule Ball. Wot a pretty young lady she is.

And the boys all dressed up for the ball too.

And of course - this'd be the Globet of Fire.

Something to ponder on

I just wanna ask u guys this question - Would you want to be a millionaire or would you want to be with a millionaire?

My answer is the latter...so that I can spend the money without guilt...And well, the millionaire can earn more millions for me to spend!

What's going on?

What is going on in the world?

Bombing after bombing. Threat after threat. Death after death. Killing after killing. And the latest wave of shock just hit all the pathetic earthlings - wrong person killed. Quite naturally, the UK police force has been blamed for the careless act and accounts are demanded. Let me tell you, this is a pretty hard shit to take on Tony.

I am really sorry for the victim, Jean Charles de Menezes. Quoting from CNN, "He challenged police and refused to obey orders, before he was shot and killed in front of horrified commuters Friday morning". The officer who shot him should be investigated and presented to the public the verdict.

However, we must not forget - was anyone from 911 and the latest 3-buses-1-train bombing RIGHTFULLY killed? And those people who live in Middle East - who are being killed as we speak - does anyone of them deserve to be killed? It seems to me, that we require a good guy to be perfect and we punish him/her severely when s/he makes a mistake; as for the bad guy, it's either we haven't been able to get hold of him/her, or just simply because s/he is namely the bad guy.

Prejudices. Discrimination. Our minds let these 2 evils take the better of us. We are worse than animals. Actually it's unfair to say that - it's indeed the inability of everyone to see the truth and hence miss the bigger picture. Our hearts are blinded, clouded. The inner eye hasn't been able to See.

In the wake of these dreadful events, hatred against a certain community has worsened. They are threathened and looked down upon everywhere in the world. This is even the case in the supposedly more accepting and understanding European countries like France and Holland. It's quite understandble because this very war, has been back-boned by a prominent and strong religious background.

I am just wondering - if the reason behind the war was based on the teaching of a supposedly meant-to-be-good religion, shouldn't there be someone of the same religion who believes or practises the still-on-the-right-path teaching? Why hasn't someone from the community strongly outed and stopped the ugly demented foul idea that is fueling the holy war? Unless they too think that the war is justified, honourable and god-likable.

Who am I kidding? I am just one tiny weenie bit on the small Earth. Lives of other form could be very well laughing their asses (assuming they have one) off if they saw us fighting the war to self-extermination. Ending with a rather silly note, what I have expressed here may just earn me an invitation to the beyond, where those who have gone there shall never be spectated again.

The remaining ones

I am sending my bestest regards to those who remain - Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Remus, Minerva, Tonks, Arthur, Molly, RAB, Neville, Luna, Ginny, George, Fred, Flitwick, Sprout, Sybill, Snape, Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Voldemort etc...

Of all the unforgivable curses, Cruciatus Curse (Crucio), Imperius Curse (Imperio) and Killing Curse (Avada Kedavra), there is another one which even Lord Voldemort fears. This curse has caused the death of my 2 favourite characters, Sirius and Dumbledore.

This curse, is none other than the curse by J.K. Rowling's wand (her pen)!!! Anyone she wishes dead will be dead and anyone she wishes alive will stay alive. Albeit I can assure you that all the remaining characters will have to suffer some pokes and scratches by Rowling's wand before their final destinies unfold.

Perhaps a good piece of advice you guys could follow would be to purchase a few shielding apparels from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes! Or join the DA club to practise more defensive skills. Anyway, let me tell you a self-invented shielding charm - silvadeflecto - it'll not only shield you from curses, but also deflect them like a mirror! Keep practising!

Mr Perfect (or Ms Perfect, wotever suits you)

He's gorgeous, great in bed, has a good career, and you're in love. The only downside: he can never lose an argument.

If that describes your Mr Right look out. A new study says its best to steer clear of people who show signs of being hypercompetitive. If not, you may be headed for rocky-road relationships that are full of conflict and emotional pain.

"People should be alert for signs that the potential partner has qualities that portend a relationship filled with conflict and unhappiness," lead study author Dr. Richard M. Ryckman of the University of Maine in Orono says.

"If the person needs to be right about everything, needs constant reassurance, shows little understanding and appreciation of your needs, and continually tries to regulate your behavior, these would all be signs that he or she is hypercompetitive and not a particularly good candidate for a partner," he added.

Ryckman and his colleagues investigated the romantic relationships of hypercompetitive individuals in a study of 240 heterosexual university students. Nearly two thirds of the students were in serious dating relationships or were married, while the remaining individuals were in somewhat serious relationships or just casually dating.

In general, students with high levels of competitiveness--who more strongly agreed with statements such as "It's a dog-eat-dog world" and "If you don't get the better of others, they will surely get the better of you"--reported experiencing more difficulty in their relationships, the investigators report in a recent issue of the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology.

For example, these students said they were less able to honestly communicate with their partner, admitted to inflicting greater pain on their partner, seemed to have stronger needs to control their partners and reported higher levels of possessiveness, jealousy and mistrust of their partners than did their peers.

They also reported more conflict in their relationships than did the less competitive students, and they said they were less able to empathize with their partner, study findings indicate.
These highly competitive students did not, however, report less commitment to their partner or less satisfaction with their relationship, the researchers note.

Still, prospective lovers should be aware that the signs of hypercompetitiveness in their would-be partners may not be something that the person can easily rid him or herself of. According to Ryckman, such people may even need professional help.

"A hypercompetitive attitude can't be wished away, by promising to be better and to be more sensitive to others' needs," he said. "It is a deeply-rooted attitude that rests on a foundation of feelings of insecurity and powerlessness."

Thus, he added, "it seems clear that such people could benefit from counseling, where they can begin to see the origins of their difficulties, take responsibility for themselves, and start to work on behaving in a more caring and loving way toward others."

I Have No Right

I hate it so much whenever I see "To be eligible to apply for this position you must have an appropriate Australian or New Zealand work visa." or "Only people with the right to work in Australia may apply for this position.".

My initially high enthusiasm would just drop to the level right beneath one's shoes, ready to be squashed, together with the dirt on the ground. It has been unsuccessful for me, so far, to be able to be even considered for an interview after attempting for a few months.

I don't know if I should send in my resume whenever I see those rather comforting and kind remarks at the bottom of the job ad. Sending in well I least I give a shot, which is what I believe in that everyone should at least give it a go. Albeit I maybe wasting resources and earn myself an opportunity to be blacklisted! Not sending in, that is like going down without a fight.

And it'd be perfect if I had a partner whom I would have been living with for at least 12 months and supported by our families and have gone on holidays where pictures would be taken as proof...All that would make me eligible. I should have done so - it'd be so much more efficient rather than writing stupid resumes and going through a million and one companies details to come up with a decent cover letter (which got rejected anyway!). Not to mention the high but false hope that I'd held for myself everytime I went to talks held by any immigration agent and DIMIA.

I've realised that I am so incompetent compared to others. A lot of my frens have earned much more advantage compared to me. Result wise - not the top; extra-curricular wise - not even worth mentioning; general knowledge wise - I only know BB and a whole bunch of craps. Other vital materials like the stock market, top 50 companies, latest tech, all-rounded-and-cunning-ness, fluent English, fast thinking, wot are Richard Brandson, Donald Trump, BG doing, what are their recipes to success...There is no need to finish the list as I am already feeling rather dumb and dumber.

Here I am sitting in front of my computer, on a cold and wet Thursday morning, only 10 more days to go before the break ends. With a million things on the back of my mind, which they have the full right to claim on me, I've decided to stop whingigng and get back to my lovely APC, ASP and HP5/DaVinciCode when I am free. Most of the time I find solace whenever I finish studying. So why not..

Till next time fellas.

This is my definition of soulmate

Soulmate /soldm8/ n Someone who can bring out the best and worst in me and still love me for who I am, vice versa; someone who can strip me bare naked (not in the literal sense o'course) and see right through me; someone whom I can safely and conveniently share a space with and be totally cool with my weird habits (if any, yet to develop).

Top to bottom, perfect fit.

Can't you finish already?

I've just discovered that there is one thing I dislike about some ppl's blogs - LONG winded, FULLY detailed to the point where it's like a replay of the experience with all interesting and uninteresting bits.

It's just me. Some people like reading long accounts of a simple events which I find it boring and normally I'd just read the first quarter of the articles. It's not just blogs, news too. It maybe a bad sign that I might need to spend more time and energy going through reports, journals, and news in the future when I work.

Oh, what a way to torture my eyes...

They are so cute!! Posted by Picasa

Alfred and the Half-Blood Prince

Hogwarts Express is now at the Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, getting ready to roam back to Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft!

Counting down the number of sleeps to next Saturday - the sixth instalment of the HP series "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (672 pages, July 16 2005). Now my heart is racing, probably the same level of excitement if I mount the firebolt.

Just talking to my friend just now. I feel like buying a whole set of the Harry Potter series for myself. We have had a family set, which is now back in Malaysia. I can't imagine myself having to wait for my friends to finish their HP6 so that I can borrow and read it. The reason being my brother has already ordered a book back home.

Any guess as who is gonna be the half-blood prince? I did think about Hagrid - since he's half-giant and half-human. Also Voldemort, half-magical and half-muggle born.

Other excitements that I am looking forward to - Quidditch! Ron and Hermione! More spells and potions and duellings! Chemical and/or non-chemical conflicts with Professor Snape! Remus (he's my favourite teacher)! And all other new, fun, adrenaline-rushing elements that JKR is gonna give us. She's is already richer than the English Queen by $250 million!

In my small little heart, I wish that Sirius is not dead somehow. I don't believe that he died so easily. Harry deserves at least a relative in his life. (And because I am like Sirius, too =P)

Ah well, it's time to to write a spell that will make me have the intelligence of Hermione so that I can complete my ASP2.

Something wicca this way comes!!

Oh My God (DO NOT READ)

God (of wotever religion, believe or race) please show yourself(ves) if you really exist. If you are really almighty and if y0u are right that your teaching is pure, is genuine, is above everything else, it's about time you show yourself(ves) to the world.

In the face of bombing, hatred, massacre, discrimination, abuse, delusion and manipulation, you have been all of those things! They go against everything you would like your worshippers to follow. And some of your followers, have manipulated and abused you for personal gain, at the expense of other human lives and free will.

If you really exist, maybe it's time for you to update your little books of all source of good and evil. Your teaching (that I believe, was made up by some smart-asses some thousand years ago, to fool and deceive everyone that they came in contact with), if you really do exist, has been interpreted to a gazillion types of meaning, advice, motivation, guidance, tool, myth, exaggeration and lie.

If you really do exist, it's time for you to hold something like the G8 summit and hope that you are not bombed, to reconcile wotever crap you intended your followers to practice. The games of oh-God-told-me-this or oh-God-sent-me-to-save-mankinda or He-the-almighty and you-must-believe-me-or-you-will-be-helled have gone out of hand. You need to stop your game - your puppets are killing each other!!

I have just come to realise that one maybe his/her own god and dog (wotever the reserve of god is) and we don't need you! Indeed, someone realised the existence and inexistence of 'god' and 'anti-god' in everyone's mind and used it to his/her own advantage on those who hadn't realised it, or at least hadn't taken a stance. Why do we need to believe the first persons? Human's fear of unknown has led us to believing something that brings more fear.

There are many unexplanable concepts like where do we go after we die, the existence of some spirits we can't see with our naked eyes, the existence of life beyond earth, the existence of magic, even our own existence. And someone who gets ahead of everyone else comes up with some quite believable idea like god. And this idea expands and abuses our lax of knowledge. In short, wot do men with power want? More power. And control.

Human will end. Not because of we don't believe in god, not because we don't practice wotever they say. Our minds will switch us off. God is just a made-up, by those clever people, to make the final cover-up for their master plans, to cover the flaws, to cover the unexplainable, to cover the real truth.

When in France, do as the French do...

According to the French newspaper Le Figaro, only 47% of French people shower or bathe every day compared with 70% of Britons and 80% of Dutch, Germans and Scandinavians. But the French are Europe's biggest consumers of perfume and deodorants.
